
On Friday, 17 April, a meeting was held at the Kotłownia Student Club on Juliusza Słowackiego Street in Toruń to discuss preparations for submitting an application for the second edition of the Excellence Initiative – Research University programme.
The event was attended by students, PhD students and representatives of the university authorities, including the Vice-Rector for Research, Dr Adam Kola, Professor at Nicolaus Copernicus University. The meeting took the form of a workshop and provided a space for open discussion on experiences to date regarding the implementation of the IDUB programme.
Participants worked in groups, sharing their opinions, needs and expectations regarding the next edition of the initiative. Discussions covered, among other things, the development of young science, research support, innovation, academic entrepreneurship, as well as student mobility and the grant system.
The meeting marks an important stage in the preparations for applying to the second edition of the Excellence Initiative – Research University programme. The conclusions and recommendations gathered during the discussion will be used to develop the best possible solutions that meet the real needs of the academic community.
