Prof. Włodzisław Duch, Deputy Head of the AI4MEDICINE Priority Research Area (POB AI4MEDICINE), has been invited to serve as Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the journal of the International Academy of Artificial Intelligence Sciences (AAIS).
The International Academy of Artificial Intelligence Sciences (AAIS) is currently one of the world’s largest organizations bringing together experts in artificial intelligence. In just five years, it has grown to more than 270,000 members. Its community includes Nobel Prize and Turing Award laureates, members of national academies of sciences and engineering from around the world, as well as hundreds of internationally recognized AI experts.
The new AAIS journal is intended to become one of the Academy’s flagship publishing initiatives. Its mission is to publish cutting-edge research in artificial intelligence as well as interdisciplinary studies applying AI methods across a wide range of scientific fields. The journal’s scientific development will be overseen by an international editorial team composed of distinguished researchers from leading universities and research institutions worldwide.
The invitation extended to Prof. Włodzisław Duch reflects international recognition of his outstanding scientific achievements, his significant contributions to the advancement of artificial intelligence research, and his strong reputation within the global scientific community. In its invitation letter, AAIS emphasized his exceptional academic record, influential research accomplishments, and prominent standing among AI researchers worldwide.
As Deputy Editor-in-Chief, Prof. Duch will help shape the journal’s strategic direction, ensure the highest scientific standards of published articles, and strengthen its international visibility.
Two other distinguished Polish researchers have also been invited to serve in this prestigious editorial role: Prof. Janusz Kacprzyk of the Systems Research Institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences and Prof. Leszek Rutkowski of the AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków.
