At the helm of the Polish Academy of Sciences Research Station in Paris

Dr hab. Aldona Jankowska, professor at the Faculty of Medicine of Nicolaus Copernicus University, has been appointed the new director of the Polish Academy of Sciences Research Station in Paris. During her four-year term, she will be responsible for promoting innovative and interdisciplinary scientific cooperation between Poland and France.

The Polish Academy of Sciences Scientific Station (Centre Scientifique a Paris Academie Polonaise des Sciences) is an important foreign scientific center. Its activities focus primarily on promoting Polish science and developing research cooperation between Poland and France. The institution organizes conferences, symposia, and other scientific events, as well as provides assistance to scientists, scholarship holders, and students from Poland who come to France to continue their education.

Following a competition and recommendations from the Competition Committee, the selection of Dr. Aldona Jankowska, professor at Nicolaus Copernicus University, for the position of director of the Polish Academy of Sciences Research Station in Paris was approved by Prof. Marek Konarzewski, president of the Polish Academy of Sciences. The team working with Prof. Jankowska also includes Dr. Zuzanna Łacny, an environmental engineering specialist from the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow, and Karolina Siekierka, an analyst specializing in human rights, international security, and French domestic and foreign policy.
