Competition to carry out research related to the COVID 19 epidemic in the fields of engineering and science and health sciences
The purpose of the competition was to financially support scientific teams submitting an original research idea in the field of basic and/or applied research with implementation potential on COVID-19, and in particular involving the expansion of knowledge on the understanding of the mechanism of action and infection of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, ways of diagnosis, rapid and reliable testing, treatment and prevention of the spread of the disease, including medical protection in the broadest sense, ways to protect health care workers, as well as the use of IT tools in the above-mentioned topics.
The competition was aimed at UMK employees with at least a doctoral degree and with proven scientific achievements in areas related to the purpose of the competition. Applications to the competition in the form of a PDF file, prepared in English or Polish, according to the form attached as Appendix 1 to these Regulations, should be sent directly to the IDUB Secretariat (e-mail: idub@umk.pl). Only complete applications containing all the required information were considered for the competition.
