Project Budget
For the proper implementation and settlement of a project funded under the Excellence Initiative – Research University program, the principal investigator of an individual or team research project is required to submit a completed cost calculation within 14 days from the date of receiving the funding decision. The calculations, prepared in accordance with the template specified for the given campus (based on the budget submitted in the grant application), should be delivered to:
- Science Department – Toruń campus (Kalkulacja_Toruń)
- Science and Projects Department CM – Bydgoszcz campus (Kalkulacja_Bydgoszcz)
Budget modifications – up to 20% between existing items
If changes to the submitted project budget are necessary, the rule applies that a shift of funds between budget items of up to 20% of the original value of the item from which the transfer is made does not require approval from the Vice-Rector for Research. To carry out such a change, it must be reported to the appropriate department (for the Bydgoszcz campus to the address idubcm@cm.umk.pl).
Budget modifications – above 20%
For larger changes exceeding 20% of the original value of an item, approval from the Vice-Rector for Research is required. A request for such a change, prepared according to the template, must be submitted to the relevant Science Department or the Science and Projects Department CM.

Introducing a new item into the budget requires approval from the Vice-Rector for Research. A request, prepared according to the template, must be submitted to the appropriate department mentioned above.
