Objective 4 – innovation and cooperation with the socio-economic environment
Detailed goals in terms of raising the quality of research activity and the quality of education at the Nicolaus Copernicus University:

- increasing innovation and cooperation with the socio-economic environment;
- initiating and supporting contacts between the university and business entities;
- taking full advantage of the university’s potential to stimulate innovation and implementation in accordance with international standards;
- introduction of TRIZ training;
- promotion of business incubator among students and doctoral students through Startup Weekends and Hackatony
- expanding the role of the Academic Business Incubator in promoting the importance of innovation at the university as well as the introduction and coordination of the university’s cooperation policy with the business environment.

- Michał Mentel, MA (Center for Academic Entrepreneurship and Technology Transfer) – chairman, leader of the Team No. 4, Coordination of the work of the team, development of draft structure and internal regulations in the area of cooperation with the business environment, development of model documents used by the University in cooperation with the business environment, participation in scientific research in the area of knowledge management, technology transfer, commercialization and innovation
- Professor Maciej Zastempowski (Faculty of Economic Sciences and Management) – research work for the implementation of team tasks, including identification of teams at faculties, development of a support program and a formal commercialization path effective for the University
- Joanna Cywińska-Raczkowska PhD (Center for Academic Entrepreneurship and Technology Transfer) – organizational support, administrative and technical support, public procurement procedures, relations with contractors, reporting
