At Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, we held the kick-off meeting of the CONIFER project – “Co-imagining needs-based mobility visions for the proximity city”.
Thanks to the Excellence Initiative – Research University (IDUB NCU) program, and in particular the work of the Centre of Excellence IMSErt – Interacting Minds, Societies, Environments, recent years have seen the successful integration of interdisciplinary urban research at NCU. These efforts led to the creation of the Urban Lab at the university, later expanded to the city level – and directly pavedthe way for the success of the CONIFER project.
Special thanks go to Jadwiga Biegańska and the entire team for their determination and hard work. This is the moment when we move from declarations to implementing solutions – for the benefit of the proximity city and its residents.
The project’s strength lies in its EU funding and its networked character, bringing together partners from several countries and diverse research areas.
