The Institute of Physics at Nicolaus Copernicus University (UMK) hosted an informational workshop of the E-RIHS.pl Consortium and the inauguration of the FENG project. UMK serves as the national leader in this initiative, playing a key role in advancing interdisciplinary research on cultural heritage. The project at UMK is led by Prof. Piotr Targowski.
E-RIHS ERIC (European Research Infrastructure for Heritage Science) is an international research infrastructurethat integrates natural sciences, humanities, and the arts in the study of global heritage.
The event was attended by, among others:
- Izabela Najda-Jędrzejewska from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, representing Minister Maria Mrówczyńska,
- Vania Virgili – Director General of E-RIHS ERIC,
- Polona Ropret – Chair of the Committee of National Nodes,
- Winicjusz Drozdowski – Dean of the Faculty of Physics, Astronomy, and Applied Computer Science at UMK.
This marks another important step in strengthening UMK’s position as a leader in interdisciplinary cultural heritage research.
