Publications – publication competition for employees
“Publications for employees” competition (fourth quarter)
1. Call for applications:
We would like to inform you that the funds for the fourth quarter have been credited. We invite you to submit applications.
2. Contest Description:
The competition aims to enable academic teachers to obtain financing for the costs of publications in prestigious scientific journals and disseminate them in Open Access.
According to the new competition regulations, funding related to publication costs may be granted only for placing an article in the Open Access publication system in scientific journals from:
- Q1 according to Web of Science when funded by university centres of excellence;
- Q1 and Q2 according to Web of Science in the case of funding for research teams in emerging research fields and sustainable development.
Funds earmarked for financing publications are spent every quarter until the amounts allocated for this purpose in a given quarter are finished. The applications submitted under the competition will be reviewed by the verification committee, which in the assessment considers the analysis of bibliometric parameters related to the journal (the indicators that will be taken into account in the application evaluation are specified in Annex 2 to the competition regulations).
The necessary condition to get a payment is submitting the application, using the application form, before the service is performed and the invoice is delivered. It is not possible to pay the invoice if there was no earlier approval to fund the application and the order has not been placed (the appropriate order is entered in the Xprimer by the IDUB Secretariat). In the case of foreign publications, the requested amount should also include 23% VAT, which the University has to pay. After receiving approval for funding the publications from IDUB funds, the invoice should be immediately sent, as soon as it is received, to the IDUB Secretariat with the date of the service’s performance.
