Copernicus Panel on Climate Change (CPCC)

The Copernican Panel on Climate Change (CPCC) is a research project analyzing Polish citizens’ attitudes toward climate change. We examine how well Poles understand climate threats and their causes, the prevalence of climate disinformation, and support for pro-environmental policies. The panel enables tracking changes in these attitudes over time and investigating their links to factors such as political views, worldview, or general attitudes toward science.

The research team consists of specialists from various disciplines—including philosophy, social communication sciences, sociology, and psychology. The project also involves researchers from leading centers studying related topics, including the University of Vienna (Austria), the University of Waikato (New Zealand), University of Gdansk (Poland), and the Institute for Futures Studies (Sweden). The studies are also consulted with representatives of non-governmental organizations combating climate disinformation.
