Competition to support scientific projects outside the University Center of Excellence , “Towards Personalized Medicine”

Pursuant to the Order No. 198 of the Rector of Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń dated September 30, 2021. The Director of the University Center of Excellence , “Towards Personalized Medicine” has announced a competition to support scientific projects outside the University Center of Excellence , “Towards Personalized Medicine”.

  1. The competition is organized by the University Center of Excellence , “Towards Personalized Medicine”, hereinafter referred to as the Center.
  2. The purpose of the competition is to support researchers and teams from outside the Center with outstanding research potential, whose scientific activity is in line with the topics related to the Center’s research areas (description at https://www.umk.pl/idub/monitoring-i-ewaluacja/).
  3. Projects should be implemented between December 1, 2021 and September 30, 2022.
  4. The project leader can only be an employee of Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun, not a member of any university center of excellence or any research team from the emerging research fields.
  5. Applications (pdf file completed in Polish or English) should be sent on or before November 8, 2021 to topermed@cm.umk.pl. The application template is included in the appendix to this announcement.
  6. The amount of funding for one project is a maximum of 25 thousand zlotys. Funds may be allocated in accordance with the catalog of eligible costs found in Order No. 239 of the Rector of Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń dated November 2, 2020. Organizational Regulations and Management Rules of the “Excellence Initiative – Research University” program at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, excluding expenses related to renovation of premises. In the current edition of the competition, 8 applications are planned to be funded.
  7. The competition procedure will be carried out as described in the Order No. 198 of the Rector of Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun dated September 30, 2021. Regulations of the competition for support of scientific projects outside the University Center of Excellence , “Towards Personalized Medicine”.
  8. The list of winners will be announced by November 30, 2021. Each applicant will be informed of the result by e-mail.
  9. The applicant is entitled to request reconsideration of the decision of the Scientific Council of the Center within 7 days from the date of notification of the outcome of the competition procedure. The request for reconsideration requires justification. The decision of the Center’s Scientific Council issued as a result of a filed reconsideration request is final.
