Training for academic teachers and employees who are not academic teachers

We invite persons holding managerial positions in the group of academic teachers and non-academic staff (directors, managers, formal and informal team leaders) to participate in residential training courses in the Bydgoszcz and Toruń parts of the University in the field of:

Please send applications for training and questions to anetta.czerska@cm.umk.pl for the Bydgoszcz part and urszula.walenczak@umk.pl for the Torun part by 20.10.2022. Due to the limit of people in training groups, one person can choose only one training. The order of applications is decisive.

The trainings will be conducted by an external company cooperating with UMK. Qualified persons will be informed by e-mail about the details of a given training.

Conducting recruitment interviews for executives:

Objectives of the training – to acquire knowledge of standards for conducting recruitment interviews, to learn good practices in the framework of conducting recruitment interviews with candidates, to learn the principles of giving feedback to the candidate.

Training program: principles and tools of conducting recruitment interviews, scenarios of recruitment interviews – theory and practice.

 

Strengthening the role of the leader in the team:

Objectives of the training – to learn about contemporary theories on the roles and tasks of a leader, to learn about examples of leader behavior in high performance.

Training program: roles and tasks of a leader in an organization, tasks of a leader in a modern organization, social competencies of a leader, a good leader – the ability to self-assess and develop their own competencies, self-assessment test – self-assessment of managerial competencies, modern theories on the roles and tasks of a leader in an organization, examples of managers – case studies of effective managers – leaders, team management, decision-making and problem-solving, evaluation of employee performance and attitude.

 

Decision-making and change management for managers:

Objectives of the training – improving the ability to plan strategic actions for one’s own organizational unit (based on the strategy and guidelines for human resource management).

Training program: decision-making – a basic managerial skill, the essence of the decision-making process, introduction to decision theory, problem vs. task, classification of problems in the organization, personality considerations in the decision-making process, personality predispositions and conditions in the decision-making process, self-justification mechanisms, emotions in the evaluation of phenomena.
