2. Training Description:
Academics are invited to participate in a unique, English-language workshop on the methodology of acquiring funding from Horizon Europe. The trainings are conducted live, remotely by Sean McCarthy, a prominent specialist associated with the European Commission’s framework programs for more than 30 years.
- How to Write a Competitive Proposal for Horizon Europe. The course is designed for researchers who have identified the programme that is relevant to them and are planning to participate. Subject: Pillar II of Horizon Europe. 1.12.2022 r. w godzinach 10:00 – 12:45 (maks. 80 uczestników).
- Presentation Skills for Researchers
Day 1, 6.12.2022 r., 11:00-13:00, two modules: How to Present your Research Results. From this presentation 5 volunteers from the audience will be ask to prepare a 15-minute presentation on their research. These participants would ideally come from different backgrounds (hard/soft sciences, humanities etc). One volunteer will be asked to prepare for each of the following categories.
Volunteer 1: Presentation to a business audience
Volunteer 2: Presentation to policy makers/politicians
Volunteer 3: Reporting the progress of a research project to an EU official
Volunteer 4: Presentation to other scientists
Volunteer 5: Presentation to senior university managers
(Max. 80 participants)
Day 2: 13.12.2022, godz. 11:00 – 13:00. The session will begin with the volunteers briefly introducing themselves to the audience. Each volunteer will then deliver the 15-minute prepared presentation and receive 15-minutes of feedback. (Max 30 participants)
