We are announcing a competition for the selection of research teams representing priority research areas at Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń. Recruitment of applications will take place in two stages:
Stage I (initial application - leader selection) - from 17 March to 7 April 2025
Stage II (full application) - from 30 June to 31 August 2025.
The aim of the competition is to support research in priority research areas (POBs):
D2TH - Discovery, Diagnostics, Therapy for Healthcare
InC3Web - Interfaces of Human Experience: Communication, Cognition, Culture, Wellbeing
NatBio - Nature-based Solutions, Biodiversity and Climate Change
MoTiF - Novel Materials and Technologies for the Future
The competition is aimed at employees of the Nicolaus Copernicus University who can boast scientific activity and experience in acquiring external funding. From the submitted projects, 20 teams (5 in each POB) will be selected to receive funding of up to PLN 600,000 to carry out research (PLN 200,000 per year between 2026 and 2028).
Applications should be submitted electronically using the application form. The list of successful applicants will be published on the IDUB website and detailed decisions and evaluation sheets will be sent by email.
