THE RESULTS OF STAGE 1

The first round of the competition to select research teams representing the priority research areas of Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun:

The competition is aimed at employees of the University who, over the past 10 years have demonstrated significant scientific activity, acquisition of external funds for research and internationalization activities. Submitted teams may include existing teams or new teams whose employees plan close scientific cooperation, including interdisciplinary cooperation, in particular combining people from different organizational units of the University.

The activities of the submitted research teams should be part of one of the priority research areas implementing the strategic goals of the University as a research university:

1) Discovery, Diagnostics, Therapy for Healthcare (D2TH);

2) Interfaces of Human Experience: Communication, Cognition, Culture, Wellbeing

(InC3Web);

3) Nature-based Solutions, Biodiversity and Climate change (NatBio);

4) Novel Materials and Technologies for the Future (MoTiF).

 

The first round of the competition received 113 applications (1 application was withdrawn at the request of the applicant). All applications that met the formal requirements were subjected to substantive evaluation by the selection committee:
